The Rane Seventy-Two MKii is a premium 2 channel battle mixer, designed to deliver the performance required by the most demanding turntablists in the world. This rock-solid, gig ready mixer includes a multi-touch screen and new Mag Four faders.

The original Seventy-Two proved to be battle ready from the outset, and was quickly added to the DMC permitted kit list. When DJs are under pressure to perform the Seventy-Two has been the mixer of choice on stage for competitions including Red Bull 3Style, the Goldies and of course the DMC. The combination of reliability, robust build quality and deep integration with Serato DJ make the MKii just as attractive to the turntablist champions of the world.

Rane has chosen to upgrade several areas of the Seventy-Two MKii. There’s an all new fader – the MAG Four, which is used for both the crossfader and the vertical faders. This new design offers performance improvements over the previous generation of fader (see info below) and can really take a beating, routine after routine. There’s also hardware adjustment for the crossfader in the MKii – located conveniently on the front panel.

ual DVS inputs have been added to the Seventy-Two MKii, you’ll be able to connect on Phono/line or Aux to either channel – expanding the connectivity options. Hardware controls can be toggled for Instant Doubles, Silent Cue and Sync – the deep integration with Serato DJ was clearly a major design consideration for Rane with the MKii.

Sticking with the winning format is something Rane have done very well with the MKii. One of the main performance enhancements delivered by the MKii is all thanks to the new MAG FOUR faders. There are three of the new faders on board and you might be wondering what all the fuss is about, so here’s an insight into Rane’s latest tech.

The MAG FOUR fader has been engineered to be the lightest and smoothest Rane fader yet. This has been achieved through contactless fader technology which utilises patented magnetic position sensing tech. There are 4 HAL sensors per fader to ensure accuracy while dual high polished mirror rods guarantee a smooth fader action.

In addition to digital endpoint adjustment, users can customise the resistance through a force magnet tension adjustment system – which is again contactless. The MAG FOUR delivers ultra-wide fader TANG for high performance activity – it’s designed not to let you down mid-routine.
